Hey! I am a music teacher who bought this wonderful home in 2008. It was built in 1950. Solid brick, galvanized steel roof, and efficient heat and air system. I have been visiting Damascus since I was a child, we had our family reunions at Backbone Rock. I fell in love with the abundance of nature, freash air, and wildlife here. In 1995 I hiked on the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain Georgia to Damascus Virginia. I have done several weekly outings since, and enjoy walking in the woods and camping. When I moved back from Marietta Georgia, I decided to purchase a home in Damascus because I enjoy being here. This is a majestic place where one can relax, breath deeply, and enjoy life. To summerize in one word, peaceful.
